Laser tattoo removal is the most successful and cost effective non-surgical method of removing tattoo ink. At Mirra Skin & Aesthetic Clinic, we use the highest quality professional tattoo removal device to eliminate your unwanted tattoo. Any shape or size tattoo can be treated, with the ability to eliminate black, dark blue, green and red tattoo inks!
How Laser Tattoo Removal Works
Tattoo ink is resistant to removal by natural skin cell turnover, and its particles are too large for the body to absorb, allowing tattoos to remain permanent in the deeper skin layers. Our laser tattoo removal process targets the tattoo with precise pulses of light. This light is absorbed by the tattoo ink, breaking it down into smaller fragments.
The body then naturally eliminates these fragments via the lymphatic system, leading to a significant reduction in the tattoo’s visibility or its complete removal. Our specialised laser device is meticulously designed to target only the ink particles, ensuring the surrounding healthy tissue remains unharmed and intact.

During Treatment: The targeted area will be thoroughly cleaned before the laser device is used. The sensation during the procedure can vary, often described as a warm flick against the skin. The level of discomfort depends on the tattoo’s size, colour, age, and its location on your body.
Before Your Appointment: Ensure the tattoo area is clean and free from any lotions or makeup. It’s advisable to avoid sun exposure and tanning treatments for a couple of weeks before your session to ensure the best results.
Mental Preparation: Be prepared for a range of sensations during the treatment, and remember that each person’s experience can differ.
Immediately Post-Treatment: You may notice a temporary whitening or “frosting” effect on the treated area, along with some mild swelling and redness. These effects typically subside soon after the treatment.
Caring for the Treated Area: Small blisters may develop, which is a normal reaction. An antiseptic ointment will be applied, and the area should be dressed. You’ll need to reapply the ointment and redress the area for the next three days. Keep the treated area covered and clean to prevent infection.
Follow-Up Sessions: Depending on various factors like the tattoo’s size, location, colour, and age, about 6-12 sessions spaced every 6 weeks might be required for optimal results.
