Beard sculpting is a pain free, non-invasive treatment to shape any beard. It is performed on a cleansed, dry face, with a sterile disposable surgical scalpel. The scalpel is used at a tilted angle, to prevent cutting the skin, to "shave off dead built up skin and hairs on the skins surface." This results in a more defined beard shape and hairline as well as smoother looking skin!
At Mirra Skin & Aesthetic Clinic, we use sterile tools to shape and define the beard while providing patients with the option to combine their treatment with IPL hair reduction to reduce unwanted hair growth around the beard region.
During beard sculpting treatment:
During the treatment the therapist will cleanse the area and ask the patient what their preferred beard shape is, from there the skin is pulled taught and unwanted hairs are removed using the surgical scalpel. A slight abrasive sensation can be experienced during the process as the skin and hair is being exfoliated and removed.
Patients may also add IPL hair reduction to their beard sculpting treatment to slow the hair growth and provide longer lasting results.
Post beard sculpting Treatment:
There is no recovery or down time experienced with this treatment. Unwanted hair and dead skin are removed, revealing softer, smoother looking skin and a defined beard.
